After hanging out with the Edwards family (Jonathan and Sarah) George Whitefield wrote this in his journal:
“A sweeter couple I have not yet seen. It causes me to renew those prayers, which, for some months, I have put up to God, that He would be pleased to send me a daughter of Abraham to be my wife.”
When non-married visitors observe your marriage up close would they be inclined to go home and plead with God to provide them a spouse? Or, would they go home and thank the Lord that He has called them to be presently single?
