First of all, I want to say thank you to the many readers of Borrowed Light. I appreciate those of you that went out of your way to meet me at T4G, those that drop my kind notes, as well as those that never interact. You don’t have to read what I write—but you do, and for that I’m honored. So, thanks.
Secondly, I want to give you something. Just as a way of saying thanks. I wish I had enough to give to everyone but there will only be one winner. Just leave a comment on this post and I will enter you into a drawing for From Heaven He Came and Sought Her. It’s a lengthy book on definite atonement but it’s a good one.
Thirdly, I want to thank those that have donated to The Seeds Project. We are a little over half way to our goal. If every one of our readers donated $10 we would be well over that goal. Even if all of our readers donated $1 we’d be over our goal. I believe in this project. There aren’t many children’s devotionals out there that go through a book of the Bible at a time. This is a novel but needed approach. You can help get it off the ground.
Fourthly, I want to inform you that I will be celebrating my ten year anniversary in May. This is a great testimony to my wife’s graciousness and faithfulness and more than anything a testimony of the Lord’s kindness to me. We have been blessed with a trip to Branson, MO (where we took our honeymoon). This means that for the middle of May I won’t be writing. That means I need you. I need some guest writers for the month of May. If interested send your posts to me before May 1st and we’ll see what we can do to get them posted.
Lastly, there are a few ways that you can help us here at Borrowed Light. One way to help is by clicking on the Amazon product links. Those add up to be a real blessing to our ministry here. You can also help by purchasing an ad on our site. It’s pretty inexpensive at this point. We reach many thousands per month and for a minimal fee you can put what you are passionate in front of these people. But more than anything—and I truly mean this—you can help us out simply by praying. Personally, I have a ton of writing projects and church projects going on at present. I could use prayer in these endeavors.
Thank you for joining with us to make Christ the only boast of this generation!
Looks like a great read – just by the title alone. Now I’m singing the hymn. Thanks for that! Oh, and all the best on your many endeavors including your 10 year anniversary. 🙂
Congratulations on the anniversary.
I’ve heard several friends who went to TG4 talking about this book; sounds wonderful.
Congrats! You’ve won! Email me your address so I can send it to you.
Sweet! (Sorry, I hate when my kids use that word) I’m looking forward to it. Email on the way.
Who doesn’t like a give away?
I couldn’t agree more about the need for devotionals for children. I finished the backbone of one for the Lord’s Prayer. Enhancements to come during the summer.
Mike, I am sorry that I was unable to meet you at T4G but I had to leave on Wednesday afternoon due to my wife being briefly hospitalized. I do enjoy your posts and I check your site every day! I am looking forward to the devotional, as I desire to share this with my grandchildren. God bless!
This book has been on my wish list ever since it came out. Congratulations on your anniversary. My wife and I will be celebrating our 17th anniversary in June. And like you, it’s due to God’s grace and her graciousness more so than anything on my part.
This would be a helpful edition. Thanks for your generosity.
Advanced anniversary greetings, brother! Sorry for delay in Seeds project contribution…definitely in!
Lord willing, I would like to help you write in May. Will be in touch either way.
My wife and I will celebrate our 14th anniversary in May. We also spent our honeymoon in Branson. We took our kids there about four years ago and they loved it.
Happy anniversary! Enjoy Branson. It’s a lovely place, or it was back in October 🙂
Always looking for a good read
Thanks Mike for doing this, looks like a great addition to the library.
Okay our winner is…….Scott! Sorry to all of those that did not win. Perhaps I’ll get some extra books again in the future and you’ll win one of those giveaways. Blessings and thanks for your readership! Scott, you’ll need to email me your address so I can send the book.
🙂
