Day Two: That he would hold on to hope.
“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.” (Hebrews 10:23)
In a world marred by sin, it can be difficult to stay focused. The heaviness of living a human life, unanswered questions, and everyday struggles can shift our gaze from the face of Christ. Jesus understood this plight, and instructed us to not lose heart, for we place our hope in the glory of God. Let us pray that our husbands would hold fast to this truth.
Father, I thank you for your faithfulness and enduring love. I pray that the truth of your faithfulness would come alive to my husband, and that you would wash all doubt and fear of the unknown from his mind. Give him an unswerving confidence in your promises, and a peace that only your Spirit can bring. I pray that he would love you more than anything, and that he would desire you above all else. In Christ’s name, amen.
